Janet Doucette’s presentations and lectures are offered in a variety of formats.  Ninety minute or Two hour sessions with Question and Answer time can be booked separately or combined with a Day Seminar option,  additional hands-on experiential session or biofeedback demonstration options.  Handout materials can be included for lectures at an extra cost.   With advance notice, some lectures can be approved for CEU/CME.  There are on-line resources at the website which will enhance participants’ learning experiences and on-going training goals.

The Power of Intentional Insight: Keynote Address     

This keynote presented by Janet Doucette discusses a new approach that combines the science of biofeedback, positive psychology, emotional intelligence and mindfulness techniques with the cutting edge research evidence of the physiological basis for intuition and creativity.   Participants will learn how the use of Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback combined with personal development techniques can help them tap into a higher state of consciousness, compassion, and an accurately envisioned self direction.  This is the capacity to “think new thoughts, connect intuitively and passionately with ideas, and intentionally direct the heart felt path of one’s life.”

Mastering the Art of Transforming Stress:  DAY SEMINAR 

Begin the Day Seminar with the Ninety minute Mastering the Art of Transforming Stress Presentation (see above description)  followed by “hands-on” training approach using the Stress Relief Workshop.   This Seminar includes the Stress Relief Training Guide, assessments, experiential training, meditations and powerful breathing techniques.   Participants will be able to identify their stress coping style and a personal strength they can develop into a refuge from stress. 

Day Seminar is 6 hours long with a one hour break for lunch for a total of 7 hours.   Materials can be downloaded and distributed to participants by seminar organizers from this website, or presenter can provide materials on the day of the seminar for a cost of $20 per participant.

Cultivating Tranquility for an Inspired Life: Keynote Address     

Inner Peace IconResearch has shown we are physiologically “hard-wired” for peace and serenity.  There is an intricate, energetic flow of information that is constantly occuring between your body, mind and spirit.  Participants will discover how they can become more aware of this amazing dialogue and develop a sensory experience of peacefulness.   Take this opportunity to tap into this unique form of communication. 

In times of difficulty and uncertainty we may feel so challenged we neglect our intentions for health, well-being and optimal living. But these are precisely the moments that count the most.  We can exercise the techniques and practices we already know while implementing new strategies for cultivating inner peace. This one and a half hour lecture is followed by a Q & A period for a total of two hours.   Handouts available upon request for additional cost and  free on-line training resources.

 Biofeedback Demonstration Workshop

 ”Great add-on as a break out session”

Add a one hour biofeedback demonstration session to any of Janet’s presentations so participants can learn more about synchronizing their heart rhythms with their breath.  Participants will discover techniques that develop deeply held inner peace and self appreciation.   This form of biofeedback has been found useful in reducing stress, anxiety, and frustration while increasing a felt sense of inner happiness.   5-10 participants in this one hour demonstration can experience being hooked up to the biofeedback device.  Each will receive a printout of their biofeedback measurement.

Seeing Tranquility Meditation Workshop      

Lotus DeviCreate a sacred place of tranquilityand inner peace.  In this workshop participants will learn to use meditation and visualization techniques that are drawn from ancient Buddhist practices.   Detach from turbulent life demands while dwelling in the midst of stillness and gain peace of mind. 

 Learn how to bring inner tranquility and harmony into one’s daily life.   This is a three hour workshop with two short breaks.  Small group format ensures participants will receive useful meditation training and individualized instruction from the leader.    Minimum of 10 participants and maximum of 15.   “Can also be offered as a break out session.”

Mindfulness Meditation Workshop

CULTIVATE  A SENSE OF CALM PRESENCE WITH MINDFUL AWARENESS.    Mindfulness is the readiness and willingness to be present each and every moment.  Learning to be present with what is happening RIGHT NOW allows us to experience the events that are actually occurring not the ones we think will occur or that have already occurred.   In other words, mindfulness is paying attention on purpose.  

 What would it be like to let thoughts pass through your mind as they surface?  How much serenity and peace would you have if your awareness was not distracted by meaningless thoughts?   In this workshop you will learn to no longer participate with runaway thoughts.

This is a three hour workshop with two short breaks.  Small group format ensures participants will receive useful meditation training and individualized instruction from the leader.    Minimum of 10 participants and maximum of 15.   “Can also be offered as a break out session.”
